HONOLULU, HAWAI‘I — Celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2017, the Hawaii Employer’s Mutual Insurance Company (HEMIC) has chosen Studio del Mar to spearhead their 20th Anniversary public relations and marketing campaign throughout 2017. Established in 1996, HEMIC was created to solve many challenges facing the state of Hawai’i’s workers’ compensation system and impacting the insurance marketplace. HEMIC has since become the premier provider of workers’ compensation insurance in the state of Hawai‘i.
To honor this major milestone, HEMIC’s campaign will tell the story of their long-standing commitment to helping Hawai‘i workers get back to work and back to life. Studio del Mar will be working closely with local artists, local leaders and Hawai‘i businesses and workers to share the HEMIC story, but also to unveil the many exciting chapters ahead for HEMIC. Both companies have collaborated closely to develop an annual calendar of appreciation events to honor HEMIC’s many long-term policyholders, loyal insurance agents and dedicated employees. Anniversary activities will celebrate HEMIC’s partnerships in the Hawai‘i community and their continued commitment to local businesses and employees.
Studio Del Mar was chosen for their personalized client service and their award-winning team of marketing communications professionals, whose experience spans the insurance, real estate, non-profit, retail, hotel and consumer goods sectors. Studio del Mar was founded by Heather Arias de Cordoba in 1998 as a full-service creative marketing firm focused on building powerful and enduring brands. Arias de Cordoba is the executive creative director at Studio del Mar, as well as partner and co-publisher of BoardRoom Magazine, a trade publication founded 21 years ago designed to focus on collaborative governance and to educate boards, board presidents and executive management within the private club industry.
HEMIC will benefit from the many years of Hawai‘i insurance market experience of Studio del Mar’s Linh DePledge, who will serve as strategic consultant on the campaign. Ms. DePledge served as the chief marketing officer for DTRIC Insurance from 2004 to 2013. Joining the team at Studio del Mar is Meghan Thibault, who brings years of public relations and brand marketing experience serving in director level roles at for-profit and non-profit organizations.
Ms. Arias de Cordoba has extensive marketing, communication management and business development skills, and is an award-winning designer. Under her leadership, Studio del Mar has grown into an agile integrated marketing firm that combines traditional and digital marketing to build campaigns that garner exceptional results for its clients. “We are committed to exceeding our client’s expectations on each and every deliverable. HEMIC’s 20th Anniversary campaign will kick-off in January.
